First Blog Post!
This is my first blog post. Okay, let me soak this in...
Now that that is out of the way, on to the real post: I have started this blog as a way to memorialize my study abroad trip to Denmark. I am starting to get very excited as the trip draws near because it is staring to feel more "real." In a little over 5 weeks, I'll be on a plane to Denmark with 5 of my students. The preparations are going well, and I think everyone is staring to get a better feel for what we'll be getting into.
So far we've started to do a few readings and watch some videos about general energy issues, and had a skype meeting with Jen Clemons, who led the past two trips to Denmark. Her advice was VERY helpful, and I think she made us all a little bit more excited. Speaking for myself, the conversation with her made me feel a little better about homestays, which is not my preferred method of lodgings. Or at least I thought so. The more I think about it, the more I am interested to be immersed in Danish culture.
